What brought you back to Croatia? ☓ Što te dovelo nazad u Hrvatsku?

Football. I was playing football in Australia at the time for the Melbourne Knights & I was in my last year of High School. Scouts from Dinamo Zagreb had arrived & came to watch my team playas as it is a Croatian club, they were interested, so I attended there football academy which was held at St Albans Saints Dinamo & I was offered to come trial in Zagreb. I played a tournament in Medulin for Dinamo, I killed it in all the games I played & I succesfully passed my trials, which was an absolute dream come true, as I was a massive Dinamo Zagreb fan from a young age. So that’s how my journey in Croatia began.

Nogomet.

What do you do with yourself here? ☓ Što radiš trenutno?

I do a lot. My Fiance & I own StreetBox Zagreb together, which we have a lot of work with. However, I am also a Model, do a bit of acting, work as an Influencer on Instagram, mangage a couple of Instagram accounts & have a couple of side projects which will be announced in the near future, still needs to be kept hush hush.

Radim zbilja puno.

How did you get into the whole “influencer” field? ☓ Kako si se našao u svijetu Influencera?

It was actually by accident. I was playing football in Germany at the time & I came back home to Australia on Holiday & a couple of friends hooked me up with some brands to promote in Europe, the brands had really good feedback. Since then it has all really kicked off, I went from promoting smaller brands to world wide brands so it’s truly been a blessing.

What do you believe it takes to be a good influencer in Croatia?

To be a good influencer in Croatia you need to have a good relationship with your followers, it is vital to be open in commnication betweeen influencer and follower. You need to be consistent with the quality of your photos, regulary posting interesting material, however, most importantly be yourself. Yes, it imporant to follow the latest fashion trends but be yourself whilst doing it, don’t copy what everyone else is doing, put your own individual spin on it, don’t be afraid to be you.

How many hours in the day do you devote to building your profile? ☓ Koliko sati dnevno posvećuješ izgradnji svog profila?

At the start a lot. However, as time progresses your profile tends to maintain intself due to the quality & depth of content already on your page. In saying that photoshoots depending on the brand & the amount of content involved that may take a couple of hours.

What is your favourite thing about living in Croatia that Australia doesn’t have/offer?

My favourite thing about living in Croatia is the food! We have a lot of different foods in Australia, as it is very multi-cultural, which I love, however, to get some proper Croatian food there is no better place than Zagreb. Otherwise the chilled laid back lifestyle, I think Croatians really do know how to balance there daily routine of working and chilling. Also the coast I don’t have to worry about Crocodiles or Sharks when swimming hahaha, although Australian beaches are amazing as I do love my waves. The Croatian coast is full of hidden gems & the party scene is just wow, but, better leave that for another for another day.

What advice do you have for anyone wanting to move from Australia to Croatia?

Be prepared. I came here playing football which was an easier transition as once your accepted by your team mates you build good friendships. However, if you’re coming to Croatia to work & for a change of lifestyle, I think being prepared psychologically and financially is very important, as people have a different way of living here compared to westernised countries such as Australia, USA, Germany, etc.

Budite spremni.
